1. What is a natural product?
Natural refers to products that are formulated with natural ingredients derived from plants, minerals, or other natural sources without the chemical nasties.
2. How long will it take my body to adjust to natural deodorant?
It takes an average of 30 days, depending on your body chemistry.
Week 1: Expect the first week to show zero to little changes as the aluminium compounds inside your pores take time to clear out.
Week 2: Second week the body is detoxing and releasing all the aluminium in your pits that have been preventing you from sweating. Armpit bacteria will begin to change, at this stage you may notice some odour. This is a normal part of the transition phase.
Week 3: Third week the bacteria in your armpit begins to re-balance. Odorous bacteria will begin to subside and moisture levels will normalize.
Week 4: by now your amazing body should have fully adjusted.

However, it's important to always read and follow the product's instructions and perform patch tests, especially for sensitive skin or individuals with specific skin concerns.

8. Do you really use native New Zealand ingredients?
Yes, we believe in the power of nature and draw inspiration from the rich biodiversity of New Zealand. Utilizing indigenous botanicals known for their beneficial properties in our formulations. 9. Why are there small lumps in my products?
Because our products contain natural oils, butters, and waxes that solidify at cooler temperatures. When the balm is exposed to these cooler temperatures, occasionally these ingredients may solidify and create lumps or solid particles in the product. This is normal does not affect the quality or effectiveness of our products and once applied to the skin, the warmth from your body heat will simply melt down the particles as it is soaked into your skin.
10. What’s the reason behind the name Oak + I?
Our business name 'Oak + I' has a special dual meaning for us. Firstly, it's inspired by the names of our daughters, Oakley and Islah, who are the driving force behind our business. Their names reflect our commitment to creating something special for our family and our customers. But it also represents our deep connection to nature, as our location is covered in Titoki trees, a tree often refered to as the NZ Oak it is a symbol of strength, resilience, and natural beauty. So 'Oak and I' represents the harmony between nature and our family, and our commitment to creating products that are good for both our customers and the environment."
